Who are you?

You are at the very beginning of your career in finance and want to learn your trade in a rapidly growing startup.

You may have started your ACCA or CIMA and want to continue it alongside working.

You have a small bit of commercial experience and a strong intention to pursue a career in finance.

You thrive in the ambiguous creation of an early stage company.

What you will be doing

Some of the things you will be getting involved with are:

• Running weekly expenses & invoice payment runs
• Overseeing monthly payroll
• Handling and resolving any bad debt
• Supporting Sales Team with supplier forms and PO’s
• Supporting on month end process
• Supporting on VAT returns
• Xero bank feed reconciliation

Who we are looking for

We don’t think anyone is the finished article, you should always be looking for ways to develop in your role. So, if you don’t tick all of these boxes, don’t let that put you off, we want to know where you may need some support. However, some hard requirements are:

• You have started or completed a CIMA, ACA or equivalent accounting qualification
• 0-2 years commercial experience
• An ability to communicate the numbers and insights in an accessible and compelling way
• A desire and ability to build relationships across all levels of the company

We are looking for a junior accountant to join cord and work closely with the Founders, Sales Team and our accountancy firm.

This is the perfect opportunity to be the first full time in-house accounting hire and build a a rock solid, scalable function from the ground up, in a well-supported and collaborative environment. Salary: £28,000-£33,000k. We’ll happily pay slightly over or under
