Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll be involved in some of the following tasks:
Receive and verify invoices for goods and services;
Ensure invoices have appropriate approval before processing into the accounting system;
Code and enter vendor invoices and employee expenses in an accurate and efficient manner;
Reconcile and enter corporate credit card transactions;
Manage Payments to vendors and employee reimbursements
Handle vendor inquiries in a professional manner;
Provide an excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers;
Provide support to both the Accounting and Administration teams as required;
Assist with monthly reconciliations
Take on additional projects and day-to-day responsibilities as required
Post payments in the accounting system
Set up new vendors
Update bank statements and prepare bank entries
About You
You have one or more of the following attributes:
Degree, preferably Accounting related
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in similar role
Nice to haves: automated approval workflow, purchase orders
Detail oriented, organized, and efficient
Dynamic, proactive, self-starter; naturally inquisitive
Self-managed – able to resolve most problems independently and know when to seek help
Enjoy multi-tasking and able to juggle many priorities while meeting deadlines
Quick and willing learner
Tenacious in driving self and others to complete required tasks
Strong skills in MS Office Suite, especially in Excel; knowledge of Netsuite and Concur would be an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to compare data from a variety of sources for accuracy and completeness
Knowledge of general record keeping and filing systems is an asset
