Job Title: Accounting Systems Administrator – (ERP System)

About the Job

Copia Scientific., located in Taunton, MA, a fast growing, fast paced provider of strategic technology solutions is seeking an experienced In-House Service Engineer and Field Service Engineer for service of laboratory instrumentation. Copia is a provider of new and certified pre-owned products and services.

FUNCTION

Under the direction of the ERP Operations Director the role will be to assist with all functions of the ERP system. Frequent monitoring of all system data input is critical to ensure the accuracy of reporting across all departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must learn and understand how each of Copia’s ERP system modules functions and the affect it has on each department
• Will be responsible for having a thorough understanding of the ERP system to gain the ability to assist others and provide training as required
• Must be able to work with all departments to maintain the accuracy of the systems throughput
• Will be responsible for helping resolve system errors
• Will thoroughly learn customer invoicing process (inventory and costing knowledge critical) which may involve Customer Service, Sales, Service Group and Logistics
• Responsible for customer returns and refunds ·
• Working knowledge of purchase orders and vendor returns
• Learn the system’s developer tool to be able to add fields and provide reporting and modify scripts
• Heavy activity working with the accounting and finance department ·
• General data entry into the ERP System

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience and general understanding of how an ERP system functions
• General accounting background and working knowledge of A/P, A/R, and general ledger
• Experience in overall company interactions with all departments; Sales, Service, Purchasing, Inventory, Warehouse Shipping/Receiving, Customer Service and Finance
• Most posses the ability to work with all teams to problem solve and help come up with the best solution for all parties and ERP functionality
• Customer Service management experience a plus – problem solving a must
• Most pose strong analytical skills, the ability to multi-task and strong follow up skills
• Accurate typing and communication skills is critical
• Microsoft Outlook, Word/Excel experience is critical

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE DESIRED

• Bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years or more of Accounting experience
• Customer Service, Data entry, and MS systems experience helpful
• Must possess strong Accounting knowledge background
