Coos County Family Health Services has a 40 hour per week Office Support position in our Pharmacy Department.
Position includes coverage at two sites (CCFHS Clinic in our Gorham, NH office and CCFHS clinic on Pleasant Street in Berlin, NH).
Strong computer skills, flexibility & desire to work in a fast paced medical office a must.

SUMMARY
Improves access to affordable pharmaceuticals for at-risk individuals and families, specifically for the patients of CCFHS. Utilizes 340b, samples and patient assistance programs as appropriate. Responsible for maintaining relationships with outside vendors and with internal CCFHS staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains a comprehensive low-cost pharmacy program at CCFHS, including the 340b program, samples and the patient assistance programs.
Tracks number of patients served, medication dispensed, cost versus revenue, etc. and verifies with pharmacy tracking data. s discrepancies to the Pharmacy Program Supervisor or COO.
Integrates the pharmacy program with existing medication options at CCFHS. Responsible for selecting the most appropriate medication value option for patients from the patient assistance programs, samples or other options that are available.
Expands existing internal and external case management efforts to include pharmacy aspects.
Improves patient compliance with medication regimens by reviewing patient medical chart to measure compliance with required quantities baseline standards set by Medical Director.
Measures client use of the various pharmaceutical options at CCFHS and s to Pharmacy Program Supervisor or COO.
Meets with pharmacy representatives and prepares a list of needed medication from the specific company.
Obtains medical provider’s signature on invoice form and/or sets up brief meetings with provider (2-3 minutes).
Receives and stocks medication.
Processes invoices and medication records. Verifies information for completeness and accuracy.
Prepares log sheets for patients PAP, medication samples and Title X medications (Pleasant Street only).
Transfers information from medication log sheets to appropriate medication record daily. For Title X medications, include the patients full address on the medication record (Pleasant Street only).
Counts medications and confirms remaining amount per medication records monthly. s discrepancies to the Pharmacy Program Supervisor or Chief Operating Office immediately.
Keeps track of expired medications. Removes medication from the shelf, attaches medication record to medication, and places medication in designated area to be destroyed by pharmacy consultant.
Petitions pharmaceutical companies for free medication for indigent population.
Keep Patient Assistant manuals up to date.
Keeps pharmacy clean and in order.
Performs other tasks, as directed, as time allows.
Follows agency’s policies and guidelines.
