We are looking for a talented Recruitment Business Partner to join the Continental Engineering Services UK HR team, supporting the Head of HR to develop and implement successful recruiting strategies for our growing organisation in the UK.

The Recruitment Business Partner will be responsible for ensuring best practice hiring approaches, a great candidate experience and sourcing candidates who meet our hiring needs, support the business objectives and add positively to our company culture.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide an in house, end to end recruitment advisory service to all internal hiring managers at all levels of recruitment across the organisation.
• Partner with hiring managers to identify current and future hiring needs.
• Proactively identify areas of recruitment activity that require development and work closely with relevant stakeholders to make improvements.
• Create and maintain content related to recruitment advertising and employer branding.
• Supervise the HR Assistant to effectively manage all recruitment administration including coordinating applications, booking interviews, writing job offers and contracts of employment, and completing the new starter process in a timely manner.
• Ensure a diverse range of advertising platforms and recruitment sources (e.g., job boards, careers pages, social networks)
• Prioritise direct sourcing methods first wherever possible and develop strategies for engaging high potential ‘passive’ candidates e.g., via the LinkedIn recruiter tool.
• Manage preferred supplier relationships with recruitment agencies.
• Screen job applications for all live roles and conduct initial telephone screening interviews to create shortlists of qualified candidates.
• Represent the company at recruitment events and job fairs to network with potential candidates
• Review job descriptions and adverts to ensure they adequately capture role requirements and are legally compliant.
• Report on and monitor recruitment metrics (e.g., time to hire, cost of hire, source of hire)
• Oversee the onboarding process for new hires and ensure a best practice experience.
• Develop and implement candidate experience surveys and make recommendations for improvements to the hiring and onboarding process based on the results.
• Oversee the annual apprentice and graduate recruitment schemes
• Advise and coach hiring managers on appropriate interview technique and hiring methods
• Proactively build talent pools for future job openings
• Support with recruitment related projects as required by the Head of HR

Qualifications

Person specification:

• Proven work experience as a recruitment specialist, recruiter or similar role, ideally gained in house working alongside an HR team.
• Self-motivated, able to work at pace and multi-task with limited supervision
• Experience of developing, implementing and evaluating recruitment policies and procedures
• Understanding and experience with the full cycle of recruitment activities
• Hands on experience with candidate sourcing and interviewing
• Knowledge of recruitment related UK employment legislation, including GDPR
• Good understanding of best practices for candidate sourcing, recruitment advertising, onboarding process, recruitment metrics, diversity & inclusion, and employer branding.
• Excellent competency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with applicant tracking systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to network via social media and other professional platforms
• Demonstrates a passion for diversity and inclusion in all tasks
• Flexibility for occasional travel to the Lichfield location as required
• CIPD qualification with recruitment specialism desirable, but not essential.
