Tasks

Within the Interior Business Segment you can expect to work on anything electronic inside a vehicle from research to series production for some of the most exciting automotive OEMs in the UK – think connectivity, UX, cybersecurity, smart access, and comfort functions. Reporting to the Software Team Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing software for high performance embedded systems.

• Responsible for creating and implementing embedded software in-line with company quality process and customer milestones across a range of automotive interior electronics;
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to interpret, generate and document software requirements.
• Support Project Managers with resource estimation for software tasks;
• Responsible for implementing code using C/C++ programming languages, assembly language and automatic code generation from modelled environments;
• Generation and execution of test plans and reports at all levels of the “V” life cycle, including unit/structural tests, integration tests and verification/validation tests;
• Customer liaison for vehicle debugging and support when required;

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in an appropriate science or engineering discipline;
• Working knowledge of C/C++ (or similar) on embedded systems.
• Good test and analysis skills;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Highly-motivated and capable of working on multiple activities concurrently in diverse and remote project teams;
• Occasional travel within the UK and Europe;
• Experience in real time operating systems;
• Experience configuring and implementing software in AUTOSAR environment (Elektrobit Tresos preferred);
• Experience with CAN / LIN / Ethernet based test tools e.g. Canalyser, Canape, PCAN or ValueCAN;
• Experience in the use of model-based development tools e.g. Mathworks Simulink & Stateflow, dSpace TargetLink;
• Experience using software test verification tools;
