We are currently assisting a national starter-home homebuilder with their search for a Treasury Manager

Job Description

Our client is a starter-home homebuilder maniacally focused on return on equity. This company builds much needed affordable homes in secondary markets across the southern half of the U.S. They are similarly focused on growing their affordable home business through “fee build” relationships with an array of land developers and build-for-rent (“BFR”) clients.

Objective

The Treasury Manager help manage the financings of the Company and its Joint Ventures, in conjunction with various operating departments.

Duties Include:

• Manage borrowing bases with each lender, assigning new construction loans to lenders in a manner so as to optimize the use of all four facilities
• Ongoing reporting, compliance and monitoring of loan facilities including review of covenants, borrowing base reporting, operating issues and communications with the various lenders, legal counsels, and appraisers
• Manage bi-monthly draw requests on both retail for-sale and fee build projects
• Providing appropriate financial information (historical financial information, business plans and projections) and other descriptive information as may be required to the lenders

• Oversee cash management cash management processes; verify transmissions of issued checks to the bank; verify positive pay exceptions and enter payment decision in bank system
• Verify invoicing of bank fees and prepare journal entries to record payment

• Assist lenders in their analysis and answering questions
• Assist in the month end close process
• Participate in special projects, as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• 3- 5 + years of experience, preferably in corporate finance / treasury or banking – commercial lending (real estate and construction a plus)
• Homebuilding or construction experience desired
• Experience with Constellation NewStar system or similar ERP desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
