Contemporary Business Resources is a professional services firm that specializes in assisting our clients with professional and executive recruitment.

We are currently assisting a Naples, FL Non-Profit organization with their search for a Finance Director.

Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Director to manage and plan the organization’s financial growth strategies. Candidate must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and have the communication skills to work with the board of directors, executive leadership team and staff. The goal is to achieve sustainable financial control and growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive the organization’s financial planning and reporting
• Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
• Work with the board of directors to decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Provide internal and external reports for the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
• Manage vendor relationships
• Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
• Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system
• Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
• Manage finance and investment committees

Skills

• Proven experience with background in not-for-profit accounting
• Knowledge of not-for-profit financial law and risk management practices
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (currently utilizing QuickBooks, Donor Perfect)
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
• CPA is a strong advantage
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
