ContainerWorld Forwarding Services Inc is Looking for Operations Administrator Full Time

Commercial Logistics Inc. is an asset based trucking company, offering both less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload (FTL) service to all points in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of ContainerWorld Forwarding Services Inc. Both companies are headquartered in Richmond, British Columbia.

We are a state-of-the-art forwarding, warehousing and distribution Company. Our Warehouse Management System includes voice picking, interleaved put-away/replenishment and license plated inventory with RF scanning. Our distribution includes electronic signatures running on Truckmate. Our operations actively support Lean Six Sigma concepts.

Position: Operations Administrator

Location: Kelowna, BC

Hours: Mondays – Fridays, 8:30am-4:30pm

Position Overview:

Working independently with some guidance from the Operations Supervisors and Branch Manager, provides support and backup to the operations team. Coordinates activities of front-line operations staff (Warehouse/drivers) by assigning work. Responsible for efficiency and effectiveness of own area. Considerable impact on efficient operations of own area and some other departments. Slight impact on the efficiency of long-term operations.

What will you do:

Coordinate activities of Operations team

• Assigns work to team members (drivers and warehouse) based on established guidelines and priorities

Assists in overseeing customer service activity in the Region

• Communicating daily with customers to ensure service commitments are achieved
• Resolve customer issues as needed

Assists in the operational activity of the branch

• Ensures delivery schedule is maintained
• Monitors daily driver’s logs and maintains accurate records of equipment and labor costs and reports
• Ensures compliance with transport and vehicle regulations
• Provides input on priorities and policies directly affecting the operations team

Provide back up and general assistance to others as required

• Provides back-up to team members as required in Admin and Operations groups
• Effectively carries out all other assigned duties

Required skills, knowledge and abilities to be an Operations Administrator:

• Bachelor Degree/specialist certificate/diploma.
• 2 to 3 years’ experience or at least 4 to 6 years related experience.
