Accounts Assistant

Rate: £30k-£35k Per Annum

Location: London head office

About the job:

Consumer Additions has partnered with a Fast Growing Drinks Company in search of an Accounts Assistant to join their London-based team. The role’s aim is to provide excellent accounts support to the Finance Manager and the Finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Check, code, and post supplier invoices into the accounting system.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations.
• Perform monthly Intercompany account reconciliations.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Liaise with the Finance Manager to produce management accounts, including accruals and prepayments, and report on pecuniary results
• Assist the Finance team with day-to-day transactional processing, bank payments, and any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the department as directed by the Finance Manager for other entities across the group.
• Assist with quarterly VAT returns production.
• Ensure that the quarter/month-end is completed accurately and on time.
• Assist with quarterly stocktakes (Saturday/Sunday)
• Train and ensure that shop management follows financial guidelines
• Ensure distribution costs are managed.
• Manage AAA Accounts (online) on a monthly basis, ensuring that any refunds and overpayments are handled properly.

Requirements:

• Be able to operate in a fast-paced atmosphere while remaining professional at all times
• Have previous experience working as part of a team in a busy financial office
• Be a strong communicator with great written and verbal communication abilities
• Demonstrate a tenacious and pragmatic problem-solving approach.
• Have a strong commercial and business sense
• Demonstrate a proactive, “can-do” mindset.
• Organizing and planning one’s own workload, as well as the ability to multitask is important
• Excellent time management skills, including the ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Accurate and detail-oriented
• Excel and Microsoft packages are among your IT capabilities.
