Conrad Consulting Ltd Looking for Structural CAD Technician at Sheffield, South Yorkshire Full Time

We are delighted to be working with an established engineering consultancy that pride themselves on their excellent reputation of providing quality, cost-effective solutions to their clients.

They have asked us to help them find an experienced CAD Technician to join the team in their Sheffield office on a full time permanent basis where you will work on a wide range of both civil and structural projects including housing, commercial and industrial developments.

Responsibilities:

• Working on a wide range of projects ranging from single house dwellings through to multi-storey steel, concrete and timber framed structures,
• Working on General Arrangements/ Structural Layouts and Details in Steel, Concrete, Timber and Domestic, and RC Detailing on medium to large structures (structures),
• Using CAD to support external works and plot drainage supporting our engineers in the design of large residential sites and structures of a variety of use (schools, industrial, care homes, hotels, etc. (Civils),
• Working on multiple projects as part of a wider team alongside architects and engineers to develop drawings/plans for our clients,
• Supporting and mentoring Trainee Technicians.

Requirements:

• Ideally a relevant level 3 to 6 qualification such as ONC, HND/HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent,
• Competent in the use of CAD,
• Good working knowledge of CAD,
• Working knowledge (if not experienced use) of Revit,
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
