Conrad Consulting Ltd Looking for Principal Highways Engineer – Bristol at Bristol Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Highways Engineer to join one of the world’s most prestigious and major names in multi-disciplinary engineering services.

The transportation team in their Bristol office covers all aspects of multidisciplinary design and management, from inception and options appraisal through to detailed design and delivery/construction support. It is their centre of excellence for the design of roads and rail infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading technical delivery of highway engineering projects and key technical input into multi-disciplinary projects.
• Oversee completion of designs and the production and review of design and construction ready documentation.
• Act as Technical Lead or Technical Reviewer on projects.
• Maintaining and developing excellent Client relationships.
• Support in work winning including preparation of bids and tenders.
• Support the development of more junior staff through technical training, on the job coaching and mentoring.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil Engineering,
• Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status (or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and experience),
• Extensive experience of working with key clients, e.g., Local Authorities, National Highways, Developers and/or major Contractors.
• Practical working knowledge of relevant design standards including, TSRGD, Manual for Streets 2, DMRB and associated documents including the Specification for Highway Works.
• Proven track record working as a team, agile, resourceful, resilient to challenge and adaptable to change.
