About the Role:
Delivering amazing, people-first experiences enriched by technology for our new employees is key to our business strategy. As New Hire Success and Onboarding Manager, you’ll play an important role in our future success. You will lead efforts to build a positive experience for all new employees globally in partnership with our hiring managers, People Business Partners, Chiefs of Staff, Executive Assistants, and Global Experience Ambassadors. You will use technology, analytics, stellar communications, a customer-first centric approach, outreach, and working cross-functionally with many teams to offer an elevated level of care and attention to detail for all new executives globally.

The Manager, New Hire Success & Onboarding is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive onboarding program for new employees. The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure that new employees receive a positive and effective onboarding experience that helps them acclimate to the company culture, understand their role and responsibilities, and become productive members of the team. The Manager, New Hire Success & Onboarding will also be responsible for measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of the onboarding program and making recommendations for continuous improvement.

You’ll work closely with a team of committed professionals and cross functionally with who will help you bring the onboarding experience to life. They will work with you as you define the overall approach and execution of this important experience.


What You Will Do:
  • Manage, enhance, and create onboarding content to ensure the new employees receive information necessary to acclimate quickly and accelerate their onboarding experience. This includes ensuring completion of compliance training in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that new employees receive a positive and welcoming experience, and that their questions and concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Champion our Onboarding/New Hire Success programs globally and work with PBPs and Talent, Learning, and Enablement teams to ensure consistency.
  • Work closely with HR and talent acquisition teams to ensure a seamless transition from recruitment to onboarding.
  • Continuously update and refine the onboarding program to ensure that it reflects best practices and meets the needs of a changing workforce.Design and deliver content for multiple modalities including our live, virtual onboarding training, and expertly manage our elearning programs.
  • Manage the onboarding process, including scheduling, logistics, and communications.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts to maintain accurate content and presentation materials, and schedule their sessions of the Onboarding program.
  • Analyze the success of the through monthly metrics and determine where improvements or updates are needed.
  • Connect with the recruiting team frequently to gather insight on new hires and open requisitions in order to seamlessly engage new employees and hiring managers in the onboarding process (location and hire dates).
  • Manage onboarding content in our LMS and Wiki
  • Use onboarding metrics and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and make recommendations for improvement.


What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in HR, Onboarding, Recruiting or Learning & Development, with proven experience building and implementing successful employee programs
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work independently to propose ideas, create content, and deliver on deadline
  • Proven expertise in developing and delivering content, facilitator talking points, emails to target audiences, and proposals at all management levels
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective onboarding strategies and programs.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a strong focus on delivering results.

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $118,900.00 – $136,700.00, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Confluent offers a wide range of employee benefits. .
