Confidential – Tech Start-Up Hiring for Head of Accounting & Finance Job at New York, NY Full Time

As the Head of Finance and Accounting you will be a key partner to the CEO and leader of the finance function. You will provide crucial business intelligence to support strategic decision making, and lead the finance and accounting team to deliver timely results.

We are a fast-paced tech start-up and have raised over $50 million from top-tier VC firms.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key member of the senior management team. We are looking for a best-in-class, strategic finance partner with a strong accounting background and the ability to be hands on.
• Oversee all finance and accounting related workflows including general ledger, monthly close, internal and external reporting and financial audits.
• Establish and execute accounting policies, procedures and controls.
• Own the revenue and cash flow cycles, including billing operations and expense management.
• Implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and tools aimed at driving efficiencies.
• Identify insights to inform optimal business decisions and financial planning. Serve as a thought partner to the CEO.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of finance and accounting experience, with leadership responsibilities

• ​​Early-stage sensibilities. Energetic, execution-oriented, “do-er” with previous experience in, and passion for scrappy, growth environments. Comfortable and not afraid to do things that are hard.

• Leader & mentor. The finance team will be driven to work for her/him, while the rest of the organization will be thrilled to work with her/him. Strong listening and interpersonal skills.

• Strong Excel skills and experience working with NetSuite

• Outstanding attention to detail coupled with an ability to see a bigger picture

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines and strong problem-solving skills

• Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $160,000.00 – $220,000.00 per year
