SVP Finance

We are a growing tech company, building exciting products in cutting edge areas, headquartered in New York. We are looking for a highly talented, Senior VP of Finance and Accounting to join our team and help us excel. This person will be a one of the senior leaders of our organization helping implement successful strategies in order for us to reach our growth objectives.

The ideal candidate will provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities:

• Establish financial objectives, accounting policies and procedures
• Retaining constant awareness of the company’s financial position and acting to prevent problems
• Consults with CEO on financial matters
• Financial statements/budgets presentation and preparation, both internal and external
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
• Cash management – bank negotiations, forecasts and investments
• Risk management – ensures there is adequate insurance coverage at the best price; reviews and appraises acquisitions accounting for maintenance and leases
• Directs the tax accounting activity, ensuring various tax returns and reports are filed appropriately
• Oversees costing activity & inventory valuation
• Supervises all phases of the accounting and purchasing departments

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• 10+ years of experience in the financial sector.
• Experience with Public Company accounting is preferred.

• Ability to manage a team.
• Impeccable Excel skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with ability to present in front of board, investors, etc.
• Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
