Responsibilities of the Special Education Teacher include:

Assist children with autism, specific learning disabilities, speech or language impairments and emotional disorders.

Knowledge of subject specific content and theoretical knowledge of learning theory, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation and feedback techniques.

Develop and implement a data-driven, strategic planning system including course, unit and lesson plans.

Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each student and lesson plans that ensure the attainment of state learning standards.

Provide students and parents with timely data for improvement in student achievement.

Evaluate student progress and uses formal and informal assessment strategies to determine whether students have achieved high standards and modifies instructional strategies as needed to maximize achievement.

Understand how students learn and provides learning opportunities that support intellectual, social, and personal development of diverse learners.

Establish and maintain a safe and secure classroom environment.

Uses appropriate technology in teaching and learning processes.

Demonstrate positive classroom results and trends.

Develop a climate and culture of openness, fairness, mutual respect, support and inquiry.

Actively engages in professional development opportunities.

Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Teacher Certificate
• ESE Certificate
• 1-3 years of teaching experience as a Special Education Teacher (preferred).
• Working hours 8:00am-4:00pm.
• Professional demeanor and attitude
• Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures.
• Proficiency in English (oral and written)
• Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar)
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with parents, students and employees.
• Leadership ability to manage challenges.
• Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly
• Must be vaccinated prior to start date.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
