Senior Director of External Marketing

Our company is looking for a Senior Director of External Marketing to oversee the company’s customer acquisition efforts. This is one of the most important roles in the company and the right candidate must be excited to embrace that fact.

You’ll join a professional team, with decades of lessons learned in the financial publishing industry.

The ideal candidate will be driven to achieve our short-term and long-term goals while leading a team of experienced marketers. To do that, you’ll have to strike the right balance between getting the most out of existing channels while regularly and thoughtfully testing across new channels to find novel means of acquiring new customers.

If this sounds like a big responsibility, it is.  But you won’t be alone.  You’ll be supported by–and will support–some of the absolute best copywriters, production team, editors, and marketers in the world.

This position requires an individual with creative, data-driven, entrepreneurial spirit with exceptional writing, communication/presentation and leadership skills.

This is a remote position that works east coast hours.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage a team of marketers and media buyers.
• Direct the production and development of promotions.
• Build and maintain working relationships with publishers, other marketing directors, strategic partners, copywriters and other vendors.
• Drive team to develop post purchase monetization funnels.
• Conceive, develop, and implement innovative marketing strategies to grow our subscriber base.
• Measure, analyze and optimize marketing campaign data and prepare recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders including copywriters, marketers, production, and the editorial teams to deploy marketing efforts.
• Develop and grow lists for social media, SMS, push notifications, etc.

Job Qualifications

• At least five years demonstrated marketing and advertising management with expertise in Direct Response Marketing is a must.
• Experience in Financial Marketing extremely beneficial.
• Past experience in bringing in 1k+ new buyers weekly.
• The right candidate almost certainly has experience acquiring new customers via digital marketing, including paid acquisition with some combination of social, display, affiliate, video, and email marketing.
• An energetic leader and team-builder with a passion for working to achieve results is extremely valued.
• The ability to clearly articulate and present strategies, recommendations, and results to team members is required.
• Strong management skills with a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 – $138,000.00 per year
