Job Title: Retail VP of Marketing

We are searching for our next rock star! We need a Vice President of Marketing to build and lead the marketing and advertising activity for our specialty retailer. We are experiencing rapid strategic growth and need to expand our marketing capabilities.

Job Summary: The Retail VP of Marketing will lead and direct the development and implementation of the retail marketing strategy for the company. This position s directly to the C Suite. They will be responsible for managing and supervising the marketing team to ensure that all marketing efforts align with the company’s overall business objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong background in retail marketing, including experience in brand management, agency management, digital marketing, customer insights, e-commerce, social media, search engine optimization, and customer data analytics and communications. Experience in fast-paced, metrics-driven environment is a must with an ability to keep multiple, complex projects moving forward simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day leadership of the marketing team and several agencies overseeing paid media, creative/campaign development, PR/communications, and social channels.

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and strategies to achieve business goals, increase brand awareness and drive motivated traffic to retail stores & digital channels.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, merchandising, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.

• Manage and mentor the marketing team to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns across all channels, including digital, social, and traditional media.

• Monitor and analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

• Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and a positive return on investment.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and internal teams.

• Provide regular s on marketing performance to executive leadership, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in retail marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Strong understanding of brand management, customer insights, digital marketing, and communications.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans and strategies.

• Excellent leadership, executive presence, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to create marketing strategies and tactics using quantitative data to shape KPIs and overall ROI.

• Proven ability to manage and mentor a team.

• Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $97,244.12 – $247,826.00 per year
