Planner – Curriculum Development
Job Summary
Responsible for managing the development of all elements of Nissan and INFINITI product content for sales consultants on LMS systems. Manages, model year to model year, all online training elements including what’s new, trim level features, competitive strengths, presenting, demonstrating, and delivering, as well as a detailed database of vehicle features and specifications, feature benefits, availability, options, colors, and pricing. Manages, model year to model year, sales certification courses for all vehicles on LMS. Responsible for all phases of instructional design and development, including planning, scheduling, communication, review, tracking and updating, and logistics for the development and publication of all
Nissan and INFINITI vehicle information. Creates and manages the systems, processes, and infrastructure required to publish accurate and timely product information for sales consultants. Provides leadership support and guidance to immediate work group and related vendors. Assists manager in identifying budget requirements for each model year’s product information development for carryover and new or major change vehicles, based on wholesale release dates.
Job Functions
1. Creates, monitors, and revises as necessary a detailed development and implementation schedule to ensure timely publication of product information and certification courses for NVA and IUO.
2. Establishes and maintains processes for the development of deliverables, to include vendor management, product information input, review by internal subject matter experts.
3. Identifies and implements required updates to product content and certification courses by monitoring changes published in ongoing versions of Product Information Guides provided by product planning.
4. Reviews materials in written draft and on staging site to ensure the most accurate and complete product information possible. Also reviews all materials for composition and grammar and edits accordingly.
5. Ensures adherence to Nissan Nomenclature Guide, legal disclaimers, and approved feature descriptions for all vehicles.
6. Establishes and maintains processes which improve efficiencies, accuracy and consistency of information, and the effectiveness of training sites.
7. Establishes and maintains an environment of collaboration with subject matter experts, vendors, and departments providing internal support.
8. Ensures that the demonstrating modules contain the most appropriate dynamic vehicle characteristics, that the delivering modules contain the most consumer-oriented vehicle features, and that they are designed with sound learning

9. Responsible for managing the production of product and competitive videos to include written script, talent selection, on stage production, final review, and publication.
10. Responsible for developing the annual updates to vehicle technology videos and the system encyclopedias, as well as managing the production of monthly product knowledge-based articles.
11. Works closely with Instructional Designer to ensure product consistency and accuracy across all product training content.
Minimum Qualifications
The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.
1. Experience: Seven years of related experience at a professional level. Instructional design and development experience.
2. Education: Bachelor Degree from an accredited University.
3. Computer Skills: Thorough computer knowledge such as word processor, advanced excel experience, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to resolve complex problems in day-to-day situations.
