Job Title: Lending Officer FLSA: Exempt

General Summary

We are one of the fastest growing Nationally Chartered Community Bank seeking an experiencedhard-working and entrepreneurial to join our innovative, dedicated, and passionate team as a Lending Officer. In this position you will be primarily responsible for soliciting, negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of new and renewed commercial, consumer, residential, and SBA loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for managing existing portfolios to maintain profitability, analyzes and structures loan requests to ensure loan profitability. In addition, you will be responsible for developing business checking and deposit relationships with customers; and promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. To succeed, you will need a high degree of initiative, discernment, and judgement. The Bank will require thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, and operations. You must be able to work under limited supervision and assure compliance with all bank policies and procedures as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Essential Functions

• Interviews applicants to develop information concerning loan needs, earnings, and financial condition in order to determine if a loan is an acceptable risk.
• Obtains credit information, makes recommendations to the Bank’s loan committees and effectively communicates loan decisions to applicants.
• Structure loans, prepares loan worksheet, closes loans.
• Identifies and assists in the restructuring of problem loans.
• Develops and maintains customer relationships through the use of personal contacts and professional networks and promotes and cross sell Bank products and services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, or related field.
• At least five (5) years of commercial lending experience.
• Previous experience in finance, banking, or other related fields.
• Business Development Acumen.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills plus the ability to perform financial modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of banking operations, products/services and regulations related to lending and operations functions.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a pressure-oriented environment.
• Advanced written, oral, and interpersonal skills with ability to resolve customer complaints and supervise others.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $200,000.00 per year
