The General Manager is responsible for leading a team of sales and operations associates to assist customers in their shopping needs; also monitoring the daily operations of the online business while meeting strategic goals for the division.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
· Oversees and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of employees
· Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations
· Ensure employee’s work productivity and professional development
· Design strategy and set goals for growth
· Champion and ensure all company policies are followed
· Creating employee schedules, assigning schedules and responsibilities to employees, checking to see if these responsibilities and assignments are followed through
· Develop strategy and establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for financial goals, sales targets, and customer experience standards and communicating the KPIs with staff
· Conducts performance evaluations based upon KPIs that are timely and constructive
· Managing the online business
· Helping to create advertising campaigns for attracting new customers and retaining current customers and helping to create both in and outside store promotions for attracting customers
· Stay current on technology and the emerging trends in the digital marketplace
· Establish and champion best practices to include Sales, Customer Experience, and general business standards
· Establish goals while driving to meet and exceed those goals
· Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Great interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and a client-centered approach
· Great organizational, managerial, sales, marketing, basic accounting, and finance skills
· Ability to set both short term and long-term goals and communicate them to others
· Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals
· Proficiency in MS Office and MS Teams
· Learn and become Super User in Epicor, our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
· directly to Corporate President and work with Corporate CFO and accounting team
Education and Experience:
· A bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or other relevant field required, or relevant combination of experience and education may be considered; Master’s degree preferred.
· At least 5 years’ on retail management experience required; 2 years online sales experience preferred
· Computer proficiency.
Additional Requirements:
· On-site full-time position
· Normal work week: 50 hours week
· Must be able to traverse manufacturing area quickly.
· Prolonged periods of standing and sitting
