The Instructor Assistant’s primary responsibility is to support the instructor to manage and lead students to graduation through a positive and energetic classroom environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Support the instructor with strict adherence to the syllabus, curriculum (wheel) & lesson plans

Support instructors with closely monitoring and maintaining at minimum internal set standards

Support instructors with preparing students both in content and mentally to take the State Board Exams

Assist in delivering an active lesson and lecture, encouraging active student learning, participation, and engagement

Provide continuous feedback to students to enhance their individual techniques and style

Clearly and slowly demonstrate the technique assigned for that day and maintain the attention of all students

General supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision; standard practices or procedures allow autonomy for routine work; occasional check of work while in progress; work is reviewed upon completion.

Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge in the regular teaching field

Complete other assigned duties, as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Highly organized and professional

Displays professionalism, problem solving, positive attitude, customer focus

Nine months to one year experience and/or training that includes classroom experience combined with supervisory experience

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to spend hours working at a computer screen and keyboard.
• Frequently required to, sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
