Director of Recruitment
The Director of Recruitment is responsible for the full recruitment cycle within the organization, from sourcing, screening, assessing, and facilitation selection of top talent across 10 states, including corporate recruiting. Serving as a strategic member of the HR leadership team, this role will be instrumental in developing and executing talent acquisition strategies while leading a team of talent coordinators. This role will be the trusted advisor in building relationships by working closely with our leadership team to meet the current and future talent needs of our organization. This position is located in our corporate headquarters in Huntington Beach, CA, however will require travel 30% of the time.
Responsibilities:
· Accountable for supporting programs related to talent identification, attraction, acquisition, selection, joining and retention of defined hard-to-fill positions for the organization.
· Coach, train, and lead our team of talent coordinators.
· Build talent pipelines for current and future job openings.
· Uncover top talent through various sourcing channels including job boards, social media, campus, professional organizations, and networking and employee referrals.
· Partner with leadership team to establish employee recruiting programs that positively strengthen the organization’s capabilities.
· Recruiting activities including posting and managing requisitions, sourcing of candidates, and managing the applicant tracking system (iCIMs).
· Examines current systems and uncovers inefficiencies to improve while bringing fresh new ideas to process improvement.
· Contributes creativity and talent to various operating and marketing initiatives.
· Drive strong talent pipelines by utilizing effective sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber, diverse candidates.
· Manage and build the company’s brand throughout all talent acquisition programs and processes.
· Oversite of job boards reviewing for accuracy, identify areas for improvement and make recommendations as needed.
· Proactively source, screen and hire qualified candidates, including a broad range of positions including management, customer service and maintenance.
· Accountable for proactive communication with current and potential applicants (internal and external candidates) in order to build sustainable talent pool.
· Continually develop pipelines of talent for repeatable and/or high-volume needs while delivering an excellent candidate experience throughout the process.
· Identify recruiting roadblocks/bottlenecks and work with leadership teams to solve them.
Qualifications
· BA/BS Human Resource Management or Business preferred.
· 5+ years of Talent Acquisition/Recruiting experience in a corporate environment.
· 3-5 years managing, coaching, and developing a team.
· Proven track record of managing a demanding workload, balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
· Experience developing and executing a recruiting strategy.
· Demonstrated strength and creativity in sourcing talent.
· Demonstrated success recruiting via variety of job boards and Social Media outlets.
· Recruiting experience for multiple business functions.
· Comprehensive knowledge of employee interview techniques and applicable regulations including federal, state and city EEO and DOL laws required.
· Clear understanding of the recruitment lifecycle processes.
· Hands on experience and full understanding with Applicant Tracking Systems, (iCIMs preferred), and Pre-employment assessments.
· Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and employer branding initiatives.
· Solid understanding of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g. social networks).
· Background in Property Management, hospitality or retail recruiting a plus.
