Full Job Description

Local construction company since 1999 is looking for a responsible Bookkeeper to perform a variety of administrative and bookkeeping tasks. To oversee a company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, daily financial entries and reconciliations for credit card, bank and vendor accounts. To perform daily accounting tasks such as general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments. The ideal candidate should have excellent QuickBooks and Excel skills. This position is a part-time with an expectation of about 20 hours per week with flexibility to work from home and office.

Responsibilities

• perform bookkeeping for all financial transactions
• reconcile and balance all accounts
• complete month end closings
• present financial statements
• analyze financial data and produce financial reports
• administer accounts payable and accounts receivable
• process employee payroll
• purchase order reconciliation
• daily job report reconciliation
• calculate and prepare tax payments
• file tax reports
• assist with budget preparation
• administer QBO as needed (add/remove users, permissions, report access)
• new employee setup
• 1099 reporting (EOY)
• weekly and monthly operational reports (excel)

Skills

• 3 to 5 years of QuickBooks experience
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel)
