We are looking to hire one or two independent admissions consultants for our small education consulting practice for the 2022-2023 admission cycle. We work one-on-one with applying seniors from June through December, so the position would be roughly 10-15 billable hours per week with approximately 5-10 additional hours per week of preparatory work, essay review, email correspondence, and phone time. The hours are late afternoon and evenings and/or weekends, so you must be available to work at least two afternoon/evening shifts (3-8 pm Pacific) and, ideally, at least one weekend shift (hours are flexible). Applicants living on the East Coast will also be considered for our clientele in Europe or EST time zone. Now, and for the foreseeable future, we are working remotely with our students and holding all meetings over Zoom, so we will consider applications from any geographical region. We are looking for the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree required. (Note: Applications from current undergraduates will not be reviewed so please do not inquire.)

• Experience working with high school students required.

• Experience with admission essays (brainstorming, editing, outlining) required.

• Experience interfacing with undergraduate application forms required.

• Knowledge of the current admissions landscape required.

• Knowledge of high schools in the San Francisco Bay Area preferred.
• Experience working in college admissions is a plus.
