Job Summary:

The individual in this position is responsible for assisting the Controller in all aspects of the Corporate Accounting and Financial Management and reporting areas for all North American subsidiaries and operations. The individual will also be responsible for the management of the primary payroll function for all US subsidiaries. The incumbent is expected to, with limited assistance, produce monthly financial statements and operating statements for all US subsidiaries, reconcile inventory, reconcile the fixed asset register, analyze the balance sheet and income statements, provide cost analysis for all US manufacturing sites, calculate the Management, Staff and Sales variable compensation incentive plans, perform monthly bank recons, complete monthly bank reports, monitor daily cash forecast, calculate customer rebates, assist with the yearly budget preparations, assist with bank and independent audits, assist with yearly medical and insurance renewals, assist with senior management report requests and all other tasks as deemed appropriate.

Other Job Responsibilities:

• Production of US based corporate monthly and yearly financial and operational statements.
• Assist with the annual budget.
• Supervise and back up production of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for all US employees.
• Produce monthly lender reports.
• Must become familiar with Corporate policies in order to effectively manage and resolve all issues that should arise (income tax, payroll, HR, Insurance, Workers’ Comp, sales tax, cost accounting, etc.).
• Incumbent must become familiar with the procedures and operations of other positions within the accounting department (AR and AP).
• Assist with quarterly and yearly corporate tax returns.
• Assist with any and all financial aspects of the Company.
• Other duties and/or projects as may be assigned by management.
• Follow all applicable ISO 9001:2015 procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with the documented Quality System. Understand and implement the Corporate Quality Policy).

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
This position requires an undergraduate degree (BA or BS) in accounting or finance and 5-10 years of experience within the accounting and financial fields. Although not required, an MBA or a Master’s in business is highly sought after. A CPA certification is also highly desirable for this position. The incumbent should possess management skills in addition to accounting skills, and should be able to effectively use MS Excel and MS Word software and applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
