Confidential Hiring for Accounting Assistant Job at Scottsdale, AZ Full Time

The Accounts Receivable Accounting Specialist will be responsible for and in direct support of the overall accounting functions of a high-profile successful general contractor, construction and development company.

Key Activities:

• Assist Financial Controller, Accounting Assistant and Accounts Payable Specialists with important accounting duties
• Maintain accounts receivable files, the corresponding spreadsheets, updated costs and changes for each project
• Maintain and organize documentation for remittance and record keeping.
• Prepare reports and reconcile records on a monthly basis.
• Pre-liens, Conditional and Unconditional Waiver Processes
• Manage Certificates of Insurance for all sub-contractors, assist with Builder’s Risk Insurance
• Maintain and update budget reconciliation
• Support other accounting and budget related functions as necessary
• Protect the organization’s values by keeping information confidential.
• Assist with Administration of payroll, payroll vendor, new hires, benefits package, and 401(k)
• Bank Reconciliations

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounting or Accounts Receivable

Proficient Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and QuickBooks

Familiar with the construction industry a MAJOR plus
