We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our Financial/Accounting Department in our manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, including overseeing the monthly close cycle, all general ledger activity, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budget development/management, timely month/quarter/year-end close, financial analysis, and forecasting.

Must have strong experience with implementations of ERP systems and strong technical computer skills. This position will have (4) direct reports and will report directly to the CFO. Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of accounting, job costing and billing processes, well-versed in working closely with management. Manufacturing experience/setting is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains the company’s financial principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
• Ensure the integrity of the financial data; identify potential areas of financial risk and opportunities to support growth while maintaining profit margins.
• Understand and monitor cash positions and provide consolidated information. Develop forecasts and presentations.
• Oversee the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports.
• Analyzes and interprets cost, budget, policies, and profit opportunity trends and present recommendations.
• Establishes procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with all relevant government and industry legislation and regulations.
• Manages the department staff including training, performance management, and coaching.
• Manages the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly reviews.
• Review, approve, and allocate charges and fees among related entities for items such as software support and maintenance, management fees, accounting services and analytical services.
• Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans.
• Compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
• Prepare operating budgets in coordination with senior management.
• Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
• Communicate financial metrics to senior management.

Skills Needed

Education/Experience

• A minimum of 7-10 years of Controller experience
• Executive Team Leadership Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; MBA preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
