Medium sized, rapidly growing manufacturing company is seeking a strong Chief Financial Officer to help continue the growth. The CFO will oversee the Accounting/Finance Department, along with Information Technology and Human Resources. The CFO will be part of the Key Executive team and will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Basic Function
The CFO is responsible for budget development/management, timely month/quarter/year-end close, financial analysis, forecasting, accounts payable and receivable management, financial/KPI reporting, risk management, treasury, human resources, information technology, and a Cradle-to-Grave ERP implementation. This individual will work alongside the Corporate Controller to manage the accounting team and provide oversight for all areas of general accounting and financial reporting, AP, AR, and internal auditing areas. The CFO should expect to spend the majority of their time on the accounting and finance functions, analysis, reporting and forecasting, and an ERP implementation.
Key Responsibilities
· Establishes and maintains the company’s financial principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
· Ensure the integrity of the financial data; identify potential areas of financial risk and opportunities to support growth while maintaining profit margins.
· Understand and monitor cash positions and provide consolidated information. Develop forecasts and presentations.
· Oversee the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports.
· Analyzes and interprets cost, budget, policies, and profit opportunity trends and present recommendations.
· Establishes procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with all relevant government and industry legislation and regulations.
· Manages the department staff including training, performance management, and coaching.
· Set direction and goals for the department and hold the team accountable.
· Keep the Management Team promptly and fully informed of all issues and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action.
· Manages the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly reviews.
· Develop understanding of all contracts; bring to attention of Management Team any unsatisfactory issues. Review and approve all journal entries alone with appropriate documentation.
· Review, approve, and allocate charges and fees among related entities for items such as software support and maintenance, management fees, accounting services and analytical services.
· Work with staff to ensure that service levels are being met and allocate resources to address service gaps.
· Work with the HR Director in the areas of Risk Management, Compensation, and Budget concerns.
· Work with the IT Director to ensure compliance and security of all systems within the company
· Lead the IT, HR, A/F, Sales, and Operations team through ERP selection, development, and deployment process.
· Partner with the CEO on banking relationships and other finance/accounting projects.
Skills Needed

· Knowledge of GAAP and the required financial reporting and technical skills.

· Analytical with the ability to present monthly budget and financial reporting.
· Responsible and Accountable for the performance of the IT, HR, and Accounting and Finance teams.
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
· Manages multiple tasks and responsibilities in an orderly manner and in compliance with internal controls.
· Exceptional work ethic.
Education/Experience
· A minimum of 5 years as a Chief Financial Officer or VP of Finance.
· 15+ years in an accounting/finance role
· Executive Team Leadership Skills
· A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business
· MBA preferred
