Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Market Analysis: Assess market potential, create customer-specific strategies for deep penetration, and devise long-term revenue plans by brand/customer
Account Management & Growth: Manage a portfolio of retail accounts, nurturing relationships, and driving sales growth; identify new account opportunities and educate them on our brand’s successes
Performance Tracking: Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual sales projections and analyze sales data to project customer-specific goals and foster growth opportunities
Competitive Insight: Stay up to date with market trends, provide insights into the competitive landscape, and pivot strategies as needed
Outreach & Networking: Engage in cold calls, emails, social media outreach and networking to tap into potential customers; work alongside Marketing Team to identify influencers, celebrities, etc., that could help elevate the brand
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure cohesive design strategies, seamless order fulfillment, and efficient customer service
Product Presentation: Regularly showcase new and existing product lines to both current and potential accounts, lead major proposals to key customers, oversee annual shows and sales meetings
Operational Efficiency/Sales Order Management: Handle sales order validations, ensure accurate order entries, and manage any discrepancies in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Customer Relationship Building: Establish a rapport with key decision-makers, understand their specific needs, and create tailored solutions
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of ongoing improvement through regular sales meetings, feedback sessions, and proactive outreach
Travel and Tradeshows: Strategize with management on tradeshows, while also attending and maximizing sales opportunities
Requirements:
Proven experience in wholesale elevated contemporary brand sales with established connections to major retailers
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
Excellent negotiation and follow-up skills
Sociable and confident with relationship building
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to market changes.
Persist to succeed; overcome objections with determination, creativity and partnership and excel in closing sales
