The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing accounts payable, account reconciliation and general ledger accounting.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare the department budgets to help meet all financial goals
• Process and organize invoices to ensure bills are paid and received in a timely manner
• Handle full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Review ledgers, statements and balance sheets for accuracy
• Fixed Assets maintenance
• Record all financial information and provide summaries when necessary
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, applications, and accounting records
• Recommend actions to stop misuse of budget and reduce loss
• Maintain accounts by recording, identifying and verifying financial transactions
• Collaborate with others in the accounting department to ensure all financial actions are accurate
• Assisting with audits for both operational and financial audits
• Follow internal accounting procedures and policies to ensure financial security is maintained
• Perform all duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
• Responsible for the collection of taxes data and filing of necessary regulatory compliance

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting
• Experience with Great Plains and Acumatica preferred
• Experience in a real estate environment preferred
• Technical knowledge of accounting regulations, policies and procedures
• Strong computer skills including accounting databases, Excel and other software
• Detail and deadline oriented
• Ability to thoroughly analyze and research information
• Possess a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $52,000.00 per year
