Concho County Hospital Hiring for Patient Account Representative Full Time

Concho County Hospital is seeking a motivated, friendly, patient centered, account representative to join its Revenue Cycle Team.

Our Account Representative will be responsible for providing knowledge and professional customer service to patients, guarantors, and third party payers by assisting with inquires related to billing and collection on patient accounts, answering multi-phone lines, and payment processing.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates thorough understanding of the hospital revenue cycle billing, follow-up, and the account resolution process: claims submission, acceptance, and adjudication, transaction reviews, adjustment posting, identification of patient responsibility.
• Utilizes and applies industry knowledge to resolve aged accounts receivable: Hospital/Professional; Governmental/Non-governmental denied claims.
• Utilizes available resources and systems to analyze patient accounting information and take appropriate action for payment resolution; documents all activity in accordance with organization and client policies
• Possesses ability to professionally communicate (in all forms) with payers, vendors, and appropriate departments.
• Demonstrates a cooperative and positive attitude toward clients, management, and co-workers
• Comply with HIPAA regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Knowledge of medical insurance
• Computer knowledge and ability to multi-task
• Previous experience as a Patient Accounting Associate or prior related work experience
• Patient Accounts/Billing: 2 years (Preferred)
• Hospital or Physician Office Claims Denials: 2 years (Preferred)
• Bilingual a Plus
