Desktop Support Engineer
An opportunity has arisen for a Desktop Support Engineer to join Computacenter, working at one of our customer sites in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom.
What you’ll be doing
The responsibilities of this role will be to assist local and remote users to remedy software and hardware based IT issues both face to face and via the phone. You will be working onsite in a small team. You will need to be familiar with running manufacturer’s diagnostics and interpreting results to decide on a course of action to remedy the issue. You will also need a good manner with customers and be able to ask appropriate questions to gain first-hand information from the end user to further help with fault diagnosis.
What you’ll bring
To be successful we are looking for recent strong experience of repairing IT issues and ability to fault find and carry out full system inspections. You will have strong Windows 10, Lenovo and HP knowledge. Attention to detail will be key, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Previous Tech Bar experience would be desirable as would knowledge with Apple 10/i-phone.
