About the role:
It is an exciting time to join this newly developed analytical team which will be responsible for providing valuable analysis and evidence to support decisions about our people. We are maturing our methods and increasingly deploying a range of analytical methods to draw relevant and actionable insight from our analysis to better understand our people and drive high performance across Companies House.
We are on the lookout for a fantastic candidate who is curious and excited by investigation with the ability to identify relationships across different people indicators, in areas such as recruitment and retention, absence and performance. You will be comfortable engaging widely with stakeholders and customers to produce value-adding products and must be able to work independently. We are looking for an individual who strives to be innovative, creative and can challenge the status quo. You will ideally hold an understanding of people data and the behaviour of people in the work setting and be able to interpret analysis from this perspective, but this is not essential and can be developed over time. Importantly however, you will have good analytical skills, with the ability to use a variety of data tools, programmes and sources to extract, blend and visualise data for different audiences ranging from the top-level committees to managers and support areas. Utilising Excel, Alteryx and PowerBI will be essential; capability in the latter two can be developed on the job. You will produce predictive and prescriptive analysis that encourages curiosity and creates cultural shift.
This work requires strong data analysis skills and an understanding of forecasting techniques and their applications, along with data visualisation skills and a good understanding of improving data quality. This is a busy time within our HR function and so delivering at pace and adapting your priorities will be key as will collaborating with others and engaging with stakeholders within and outside of our organisation.
The People Analytics team is new, and you will form part of a function that is both proactive in exploring areas of interest and responsive to customer needs and requirements. The team is part of the wider Strategic Workforce Planning and HR Systems department within HR. The successful candidate must be comfortable with engaging widely with stakeholders and customers to produce value-adding products.
