Summary
The Assistant Administrator provides essential administrative support to the center administrator in overseeing the patient flow and the daily operations of the medical center.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Perform administrative and office duties for the center administrator.
2. Provide indirect supervision to medical staff, front desk staff, environmental staff and other staff as assigned in the absence of the center administrator.
3. Review and approve timecards and personal time off (PTO) requests for assigned associates as directed by the center administrator.
4. Assist the center administrator by responding to emails, answering telephone calls, and completing assigned tasks.
5. Handle confidential information including patient information in an ethical and professional manner.
6. Ensure that all staff members answer telephone calls in a timely and polite manner; demonstrate exceptional customer service; and communicate with customers in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner.
7. Oversee and maintains a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors.
8. Provide health insurance information and forms to employees as instructed by the Department of Human Resources.
9. Assist the administrator with the completion of s.
10. Ensure compliance with all company policies.
11. Ensure that all HIPAA standards are in compliance.
12. Perform duties in honest and ethical manner.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
3. MS Office programs experience.
4. Must have CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Training and certification can be provided upon hire.
