The purpose of this position is to coordinate, support, and lead First-Year Experience initiatives that will promote the success of first-year students.
Minimum Requirements
Associates Degree required, and one year clerical experience working preferably in a business or higher-education setting which is customer service oriented. Bachelor’s degree preferred and one year of identical experience.
Class Specific Essential Duties
Support cohesive and co-curricular programs in support of the FYE (First-Year Experience).
Assist students in their transition to CCBC by providing information and resources for a successful college start.
Lead CCBC’s New Student Orientation sessions.
Assist with the oversight of the FYE Mentor (peer leader) program in collaboration with the Assistant Director.
Manage a monthly student programming model for the FYE Mentor program.
Organize FYE Summer Bridge initiatives.
Coordinate and schedule campus events.
Serve as a liaison for faculty members and other offices and organizations.
Assist with the planning and implementation of student leadership training sessions regarding educational requirements, college policies, support services, team-building, and Student Life.
Input, analyze, process, and report on data.
Correspond regularly with the Assistant Director to ensure FYE program needs are met.
Perform administrative work for the Assistant Director such as answering phone calls and emails, processing information and documents, maintaining filing systems, record keeping, and managing correspondence.
