JOB TITLE: Associate Director of Education

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Associate Director of Education will work in partnership with the Director of Education to create and implement educational and training opportunities that directly support the mission of Community Action Association of Pennsylvania (CAAP) and create solutions and value for its member agencies. This position will influence annual work plans and creation of learning modules, speakers, roundtables, and large-scale conferences. Additionally, this person will assist in coordinating Results-Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) training efforts for the state. This includes additional efforts to create a continuous improvement training plan specific to Pennsylvania Community Action Agencies. Lastly, the Associate Director will help to analyze results of all evaluations and communicate to participants throughout their learning experience.

DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Work collaboratively and transparently with the Director of Education to develop any plans and support the overall work of CAAP.
• Responsible for the regular review of all data from surveys, quick polls, evaluations of trainings, etc.
• Provide analysis of all survey data identifying and lifting up trends and gaps in satisfaction or lack of CAAP services.
• Communicate regularly to leadership with the analysis of all evaluation data.
• Assist in determining the educational and training needs of CAAP’s member agencies through a variety of means, like surveys, quick polls, and evaluations of trainings.
• Influence the development of annual training plans.
• Assist in the planning and project management of annual conference, ensuring a valuable experience to member agencies and attendees.
• Assist in the development of budgets that will support the educational and training activities.
• Serve as the lead in all educational opportunities when the Director of Education is not present for whatever reason.
• Assist in the development of tools and resources, and potentially facilitate ROMA and other continuous improvement training plans that meet DCED and federal standards.
• Facilitates timely and effective communication before and after educational opportunities.
• Supports the work and responsibilities of the Director of Education.
• Serves as a moderator, emcee, or care and comfort during online events and webinars.
• Commitment to excellence in support of the mission and effectiveness of services offered to member agencies.
• Commitment to treating others fairly, equitably, and creating an inclusive an environment whether within the CAAP team, working with member agencies, or in the general public.
• Travel as necessary to conferences, member agencies, or team meetings.
• Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience training in a professional environment.
• Proficient user of Microsoft products, such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Exceptional demonstrated attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Creation and utilization of evaluation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, or related field experience in comparable work in an education and training role.
• Data collection and analysis, identifying trends and gaps.

PREFERRED EDCUATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• Experience with online learning tools.
• Demonstrated ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
• High-level ability to communicate and share concepts through oral and written word.
• Event planning, specifically experience in coordinating schedules, selection of vendors, and management of vendor relationships and tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone and through virtual meeting tools.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 75% of the time.

• Has access to daily, reliable, high-speed internet.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
