As an Equipment Operator A, you are responsible for operating various types of automotive equipment. These include single chassis trucks and vans, passenger vans, and buses. You operate these vehicles both on facility grounds, and on public roads. You are also expected to determine how to resolve most equipment malfunctions and identify safety concerns and appropriate measure to alleviate risks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.
• Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
•

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Necessary Special Requirement:

• Possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver’s license.

Additional Requirement:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• You must pass a background investigation.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
  
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history s, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
