Our client is one of the leading food processing and distribution companies in BC. This is a production maintenance position in their food processing facility in Okanagan area in BC. The successful candidate must be very familiar with preventive maintenance for meat processing equipment and facilities.

Job title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

· Develop the preventive maintenance plan, keep all equipment and tools in good working condition

· Responsible for tools, spare parts, inventory, and safety stock

· Monitor production equipment performance, ensure safety in machine operations

· Responsible for repairing machines, trouble shooting to reduce machine down time

· Responsible for machine installation, disassembling and test operating

· Work closely with production supervisors to keep high productivity

· Keep flexibility in supporting production 24/7

· Connect to 3rd party maintenance services, provide for outsourced maintenance engineering contract negotiation

· Complete other tasks requested by the General Manager

Qualifications:

· Over 5 years of maintenance experience for equipment and facilities in manufacturing, experience in a meat processing facility is highly appreciated

· Experienced in leading a PM (Preventive Maintenance) for production and maintenance

· Strong mechanical skills

· Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English

· Experienced in manufacturing industry familiar with HACCP and WHMIS

· Strong service attitude, be flexible for supporting production in 24/7

· Be able to work indoors/outdoors under various weather conditions

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
