Our Engineering team prides itself on using leading-edge approaches to deliver digital products in a secure, scalable and super-efficient manner and we’re looking for a talented front-end engineer to join our sector-leading and highly motivated team and help keep us at the forefront of engineering innovation.
This role works across the engineering stack using JavaScript and TypeScript with Node.js, AWS Lambda, Serverless Framework, React, MySQL, and CI/CD, for example, and will design, develop and deliver exciting and innovative digital products and services in a secure, scalable and efficient manner.
Craft outstanding user-focused and data-driven digital products and services to engage with our supporters, partners and staff.
Participate in the vertical ownership of the entire software stack of individual products and services including, but not limited to, support, monitoring and full operational responsibility.
Service both internal and external stakeholders.
Actively engage with Open Source and technology communities.
Work on other products and tooling like Comic Relief’s testing stack, continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Commercial experience of developing full-stack JavaScript applications.
Commercial experience of most of the following technologies: React; Serverless Framework; MySQL; AWS; Elasticsearch; Node.js; and Concourse/CircleCI/GitHub Actions.
Understanding of 12-Factor Application development and its application across a stack.
Experience of running and maintaining production workloads hosted on AWS or similar top-tier cloud providers.
