Comic Relief Hiring for Finance Assistant – Income (6 month FTC) – 3 days P/W Job at London, England Full Time

The Finance Assistant will be joining a fun, vibrant and interactive Financial Control team to ensure that all donations and grant income received by Comic Relief is processed accurately and in a timely manner, collect and reconcile donations, income requests, invoices and credit notes that are due to Comic Relief.

This role is for 3 days per week on a six-month contract. Comic Relief has flexible working policies in place and there is flexibility in how the hours are worked across the week.

Key responsibilities:

• Processing approved income requests, invoices and credit notes from different teams in the organisation

• Follow up with internal and external stakeholders when settlement on invoices are overdue for payment

• Support campaign teams with providing and setting up banking arrangements for different projects

• Working alongside the Supporter Care team with dealing with Queries and refunds

• Contribute to Financial Control Month End and year-end audit process

• Reconciling balance sheet accounts for Donation Giving Platform accounts and Aged Debtors

• Set up new Debtors and maintain address and contact details

Essential Skills and Competencies:

• Part qualified or desire to work towards an accounting qualification such as AAT/ACCA or qualified by experience.

• Experience of using finance systems – Great Plains would be desirable

• Trustworthy & respectful of confidentiality – to deal with sensitive information

• Excellent time management – to prioritise work and meet month end deadlines.

• IT literacy – to be able to credit and edit documents and spreadsheets, use e-mail and Outlook calendar effectively.

• High degree of accuracy and numeracy

• Good communication skills – for dealing with suppliers and staff members.

• A fun, positive and engaged professional that demonstrates high proactivity.
