Human Resources Assistant

Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Human Resource Manager, performs Human Resource and Administrative functions. Plays a key role in assisting with clerical tasks, running errands, processing new hire files, ensuring compliance with policies, and assisting the HR Manager in recruiting and retention activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years post-secondary education in human resources or business and/or experience in recruiting preferred. Experience in health care or other service industry preferred. Requires proficiency in word processing and general computer skills (Office, Excel, Social Media platforms, PowerPoint, etc.).
Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as positive professional, business image, and ability to multi-task.

Position Physical Demands:
Walking, sitting, and standing with lifting limited to files and records typically not expected to exceed 20 pounds in weight. Extended time at a computer work screen and on the telephone. Some driving required when attending job fairs and/or community outreach events. Must have a vehicle and valid PA license and vehicle insurance.
