Comeau’s is searching for Plate Freezer Labourers who are hard-working, reliable and enthusiastic to join the Sea Life team located at our beautiful, oceanfront Sea Life Fisheries plant found in East Pubnico, Nova Scotia. SUMMARY

The newest member of the Plate Freezer Workers team will support a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to loading and unloading plate freezers with our products, assist in shipping and receiving of finishing products and goods.

THE ROLE:

· Participate in a safe work culture, comply with all Company Occupational Health and Safety Policies and promote safety awareness at all times

· Loading and unloading plate freezers.

· Reading and recording date codes and maintaining proper and accurate paperwork

· Responsible for the cleaning and general maintenance of your work area

· Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

· Forklift certification is considered an asset, but not required

· On-the-job training is provided and certified training can be provided to the right candidate

· Good verbal communication skills to maintain open dialogue with supervisor, and fellow employees

· Must be able to lift, push and/or pull up to 50lbs

· Must be capable and comfortable working in a cool environment and wearing appropriate PPE

· Reliable, punctual and ability to work to timelines

· Positive, friendly and professional customer service skills

· Reliable with good organizational and time management skills

· Safety Conscious

Working Schedule: Hours of work vary based on production needs. Some evenings & Weekends during peak season. (Overtime hours available)
