DUTIES: Contribute to teams responsible for data management and engineering of Comcast Xfinity xFi products and services across multiple software cloud platforms; develop software tools, setup and management of database software technologies for cloud based platforms using Cassandra, NoSQL and Unix Database and System administration; manage and improve customer internet experience with Comcast products that rely on these software systems; ensure proper execution of database system setup and configuration of new software systems and technologies; assist in the development of tools and techniques for data access, retention, and security; assist with the configuration, provisioning, upgrading and decommissioning of databases using Python or shell scripting; and monitor software production deployments of software-based cloud platforms for capacity issues, performance and troubleshooting in Agile Software environments.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing system software using Cassandra, NoSQL, Unix and Python or shell scripting; monitor and update databases using Agile Software Development.
