Job Summary Responsible for supporting and leading technology efforts, while integrating knowledge of business and functional priorities, for the Workday Talent platform (Recruiting, Onboarding, Talent Management, and Skills). Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for technology operational support and new project initiatives. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) and primary contact for human resources business partners as well as team members. Ensures the planning and execution of all activities are directly aligned to business commitments. This resource will have experience and knowledge with Workday. This person has business acumen and practitioner experience with Recruiting, Talent Management or Learning and a strong desire to lean heavily into these functions through adaptive learning. This person can integrate knowledge of business and functional experience into technology priorities.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Open to hybrid and remote candidates

Workday experience preferred, also open other HCM systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle and etcs.

Represents the team as a primary technical point of contact for the Workday Talent and Learning platform. Serves as a SME to answer questions/concerns about platform changes and capabilities, as well as policies and procedures. Drives troubleshooting activities and is the primary contact for systematic issues, release testing, and trouble tickets.

Provides thorough review of technical solutions for the Workday Talent and Learning platform to ensure configuration/ development meet the business requirement specifications, designs, and plans. Ensures a common understanding and agreement on deliverables.

Manages the relationship with business stakeholders; leading small enhancement implementations for the Workday Talent and Learning platform. Conducts needs analysis to determine integration requirements. Provides user feedback to management and helps influence future enhancements.

Responsible for the gathering of requirements from internal stakeholders and 3rd parties. Translate requirements into actionable and measurable user stories with acceptance criteria, through design documents, and standardized requirement documents complete with flowcharts of before and after.

Evaluates newly released functionality for the Workday Talent a nd Learning platform and perform fit-gap analysis based on business needs and recommend new features. Preserves the integrity the Workday platform by reviewing potential upstream and downstream impacts of platform upgrades to ensure data integrity and functionality.

Works with the reporting and analytics and integrations teams to drive a consistent and strategic approach to reporting and integrations.

Understands core Workday security and partners with our Security Administration team during Talent and Learning activities.

Identifies and documents test cases. Maintains a relevant testing library within Octane. Owns relationship with Quality Assurance team to determine all necessary testing is accounted and documented.

Awareness and understanding of the work they are leading and how this impacts larger projects and initiatives.

Assists with training initiatives to introduce new applications or new features in existing applications for the Workday Talent and Learning platform.

Provides feedback regarding best possible user experience for application users. Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement.

Participates as a SME and team member for new Talent and Learning large project initiatives.

Own the customer experience – think and act in ways that put our customers first, give them clear communication at every touchpoint. Influence business product owners to be promoters of TLS team and new/existing products/services.

Manage updates and revisions to all team documentation on an ongoing basisas changes are made to products, or as new products are delivered. Pursue standardization in documentation.

Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
