Position Summary
As part of the Columbia Psychiatry Access Service, incumbent will conduct patient screenings and clinical triage, and help connect potential new patients with the appropriate providers and services.
Responsibilities
Provide information to callers about clinical services/programs offered.
Record screening information regarding clinical history and background information as per Referral Line protocol.
Collaborate with clinical services to facilitate appropriate referrals.
Serve as liaison between callers, clinical services, outside providers and treatment programs.
Work with programs/clinical directors and faculty members to maintain awareness of clinical offerings of sites/programs, as well as expertise of clinical faculty members, to help facilitate appropriate clinical referrals.

Enter data and assist in the maintenance of a computer database to track calls, patient outcomes and general data for research purposes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience required, 3 years related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Experience with screening psychiatric patients
Interest in mental health services
Background in psychology or related fields
Good interpersonal skills
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Other Requirements
Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.
Ability to organize data/information.
Strong communication skills and ability to present to utilize social skills and positive attitude.
