Job Summary: New Columbia Fruit Packers in Yakima is a growing tree fruit packer and is looking for an experienced and innovative Line Systems Greefa Operator at its Yakima location. We are looking for a highly detail orientated individual to work in a challenging fast-paced environment. This job is responsible for programming and operating the Greefa sizer. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate optical sizer with internal/external defects and constant monitoring speed and quality.
• Program and operate sizer computers.
• Execute packing needs from sales.
• Train, coach, and direct the production team and maintenance crew.
• Manage packing supplies.
• Must be available for flexible hours, overtime, and weekends.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to operate forklift.
• Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
• Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, vendors, fieldman, growers, and management.
• Strong analytical and both oral and written skills
• Be an effective problem solver with the ability to work independently and process strong leadership skills.
• This position requires an individual that is available to come to work during off-hours to address emergency conditions or other situations that may arise.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish, a plus.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Driving Abstract

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma
• 3-4 years’ experience in production and management preferred.
• Knowledge of fruit varieties, sizes, and grades

Certificates & Licenses:

• Driver’s License

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000

Physical Abilities:

• Ability to frequently perform various activities that require; sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pulling/pushing objects, climbing, grasp & reach.
• Ability to speak clearly & communicate with others.
• Must have good vision, smell, and hearing.
• Must be able to sit, turn, twist; able to get on and off forklift, for 10 hours or more per day.
• Ability to regularly lift/ manipulate, 50 lbs. from floor level and/or above head level.

Workplace Environmental Conditions:

• Ability to tolerate potential harsh/cold conditions for short or long periods of time.

• Injury exposure to workplace hazards, warehousing machinery, and forklifts
• May be required to work in cold temperatures 8+ hours a day.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
