Excavator Operator/Heavy Equipment Operator

The Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating equipment safely and efficiently on a daily basis. Equipment operations may include skid steer, small loader, large wheel loader, forklift, man-lift, dozer, and excavator. This position s to the Crew Leadman.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for feeding plant and loading trucks or stockpiling with large wheel loader, excavator, or dozer.
• Perform general housekeeping, fueling, and greasing of equipment, crushing plants, and conveyors.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and routine maintenance on equipment such as conveyor bearding changes and belt splices.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all site personnel and management.
• Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as required by company policies.
• Perform maintenance that may involve manual labor such as the use of shovels and fire hoses for clean up during plant down time.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

This position requires climbing, bending, stooping, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Must have a valid driver’s license.
