Collins Aerospace STS provides solutions to complex simulation and training challenges for a variety of military & commercial customers around the world. The Burgess Hill STS site designs, develops and delivers visual simulation systems comprising image generators and projector display systems varying in complexity from classroom-based desktop training devices through to multi-channel full mission, fixed based or motion compatible flight simulation systems.

Reporting to your assigned supervisor, this role involves applying your knowledge gained during your studies of the latest techniques to assist Collins Aerospace in furthering their next generation of products.

Primary Responsibilities:

Research & Development:

• Expand future capability of existing solutions by considering advancements in techniques and changes to requirements.
• Contribute to software engineering requirements capture and analysis in areas of domain expertise.
• Develop prototype software components where appropriate, with the potential to integrate them into current implementations of software solutions.

Teamwork:

• Participate in cross-functional team efforts in the definition, integration, verification, and validation of products and sub-systems of moderate to high complexity

Basic Qualifications:

• Studying a degree or equivalent in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) Discipline
• Proven knowledge of an Object Orientated Programming Language
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows
• Good working knowledge of an IDE (such as Visual Studio)

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning applied techniques

Understanding of Web technologies (HTML / CSS / JavaScript)
