Shift: Mon-Thurs 4×10 (6am-4pm)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Advanced Process Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for an Individual Processing Line’s Performance as detailed Below:
Oversee & operate new plating line process
Monitor plating processes
Responsible for all engineering documentation (creation to modification)
Responsible to improve any processes on the line
Oversees / preparation of Technique Sheets, ability to interpret customer specifications and translate to internal Technical Documentation such as Technique Sheets, Standard Operating Procedure & Test Method
Oversees the following Standard work to ensure accuracy and compliance to company policy and industry standards CLP’s, SOP’s, tool designs, MPS’s, APS’s, SAP routings, control plans, rework schemes and process readiness
Support customer New Program Launch with specification gap review and ENG Methods implementations
Safety
Lead a culture that Drives safe work practices and adherence to company policies and procedures including
Evaluating and developing standard work instructions
Conduct monthly safety audits on the process lines – document finding on Tier 1 information Board
Adhere to all company and process specified PPE
Quality
Provide shop floor support and resolve quality issues (non-conformances) by providing
assistance in defining and eliminating ‘root’ cause (RCCA Process)
Ensure departmental compliance to quality procedures
Track metrics that are identified for success criteria. [ FPY, efficiency, RO
Oversees MPC [ Monthly Process Controls] with 100% OTD & 100% FPY
On time delivery
Investigate opportunities and initiate actions to improve first pass yield in support of On Time Delivery
Confer with other supervisors and Production Control to coordinate activities to adhere to production schedules
Drive and execute activities resulting from Linkage and Flow, balancing the load and capacity for your team’s parts through the primary and contingency work centers.
Continuous Improvement
Plan and prove out manufacturing methods utilizing C.I. tools; maintain continuous process improvement to reduce cost, improve quality and increase throughput for new and existing methods
Cost
Support Expense budget development process and monitor performance to plan Capital
Support Capital budget development process and monitor performance to plan
Research and recommend new technology to improve process capability, performance, and lower overall cost
Tooling
Oversees tooling performance as per design and customer drawing requirement, maintain preventative maintenance processes on critical tooling
Design fixtures, gages, and tooling per customer & process requests
Ensure all designs are high in quality and accuracy
Assist staff in project development and investigations related to tooling issues
Utilize CAD software, specifically Catia to prepare tooling designs and blueprints
Interact directly with customers on design changes or specifications to ensure effective product design and implementation
Equipment
Oversees all Operator Preventative Maintenance active and Participate in TPM Events
Chemicals
Oversees all Tank Preventative Maintenance as defined by the Chem Lab
Ensure all chemical additions are made as identified by the Chem Lab
Learning and Development
Support & Participate in all companywide learning and training initiatives
Providing training to all operators operating the new line using OJT and ENG Documentations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline and five years of relevant, technical experience in a machining environment, or an Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline and minimum three years of relevant, technical experience. In the absence of degree, 9 years of relevant machining and technical experience.
Strong ability to read, and interpret Engineering Drawings, models, technical procedures, and governmental regulations is required
LEAN / Continuous Improvement experience / LP Certification would be considered an asset.
